Pastor Veronica Nicole Pitt, MDiv

A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Pastor Veronica Nicole Pitt, MDiv, is a distinguished spiritual leader, educator, andcommunity servant whose ministry reflects theological depth, visionary leadership, and compassionate pastoral care. A devoted wife,mother, and servant of God, she joyfully shares life and ministry with her husband, Mr. Julian Jay Pitt, Sr., whom she married on July 23,2023. Pastor Pitt is a graduate of Goldsboro High School (Class of 1998). She earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Wayne Community College (2002), a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from East Carolina University (2007), completedthe Black Church Pastoral Leadership Program at Shaw University (2021), and received her Master of Divinity Degree from Grand Canyon University’s Prestigious Seminary College of Theology in 2021. Her biblical theology research is published onAcademia.edu, where her work has already received over 300 scholarly mentions by upcoming student theologians worldwide.


Pastor Pitt has been a born-again believer since the young age of four, in which she was baptized by the late Rev. W.C. Horton in 1984. Pastor Pitt accepted the Clergy call to ministry in 2015. She preached her initial sermon entitled “A Wonderful Change” andwas subsequently licensed and ordained at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 2017. Pastor Pitt went on to pass both Written& Oral Catechism Exams given by the Ordination Board of the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association and was ordained as“Reverend” with all rights and privileges to perform clergy duties and responsibilities in 2019. Starting off her Ministerial Leadershipablaze, pastor Pitt has been a highly requested speaker; having preached at 23 of the 26 churches within the Bear Creek Association. Her ministry extends across denominational, cultural, and racial lines, as she preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Eastern North Carolina and beyond.


In 2022, Pastor Pitt was appointed as a Youth Advisor for the Women’s Auxiliary of the General Baptist State Convention of NorthCarolina. That same year Pastor Pitt made history as the first Female Senior Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Princeton,North Carolina. Since her Pastoral appointment, Pastor Pitt has provided visionary leadership marked by spiritual growth, organizational development, and community engagement. Under her leadership, the church launched its first official website and social media platforms (designed and created by pastor Pitt), strengthened its digital outreach, revitalized and expanded the youth ministry, enhanced Sunday School engagement, and implemented annual vision initiatives and strategic ministry planning. UnderPastor Pitt’s leadership the church’s membership has more than doubled in size and she’s performed over 10 baptisms, despite thechurch’s rural location. Her leadership exemplifies innovation, discipleship, and a deep commitment to the spiritual and socialflourishing of the community.


On January 11, 2026, Pastor Pitt was recently recognized by the Princeton Area Ministers Association (PAMA) for outstandingpastoral leadership and community impact. In partnership with youth leaders and churches across racial and denominational lines, theAssociation officially honored Pastor Pitt’s Kingdom influence and presented a generous monetary donation to the Youth Ministry ofFirst Missionary Baptist Church of Princeton, affirming her role in uniting communities and empowering young people. In addition toher pastoral calling, Pastor Pitt has served with distinction as a public educator in Wayne, Wilson, Pitt, and Wake County PublicSchools. She currently serves as an Elementary Intervention Specialist with Wake County Public School System and is widelyrespected for her leadership, instructional expertise, and advocacy for students. Her excellence in education has been recognizedthrough honors including Teacher of the Year (Wilson County Schools, 2014) and the Educator of the County Award from the Wilson County Commissioners of Disabilities (2015). She has also been featured in Wilson Woman Magazine and interviewed onthe Equipping the Saints Internet Talk Show.


Beyond ministry and education, Pastor Pitt’s interests in design, communication, and community development have influenced her servant leadership approach. In 2023, she and her husband co-founded PITT’ure Perfect LLC Catering Company, a community-centered enterprise committed to excellence, service, creative expression, and simply giving back. She and her husband are often found cooking for the flock she pastors rather than outside clients. God has given Pastor Pitt the mantle to balance and serve in everytask he’s assigned to her hands. Pastor Pitt stands on service, discipleship, biblical truth, and Spirit-led leadership. She carries aprofound burden for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the people of God in every spiritual capacity. Pastor Pitt’s ministry isanchored in LOVE, as evidenced by her ministry impact thus far. When asked about her greatest accomplishment, she humbly responds, “I can do Nothing without Christ, so, indeed my greatest accomplishment was the day I learned how to call on the name of JESUS.”
