Pastoral Staff

Rev. Ralph Johnson, MDiv

Ralph Johnson is an associate minister at the Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Veronica Nicole Pitt, MDiv is the pastor.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Mount Olive College and a Masters of Divinity degree w/Biblical Languages in Counseling and Chaplaincy from Campbell University Divinity School.  Ralph holds to the belief that Christian education is a mainstay of Christianity, as such, he is active as a teacher in Sunday School, Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School, and Spiritual Formation.  He served as a member of Clergy Living in Faith and Fellowship (C.L.I.F.F.) a group of concerned interdenominational clergy working toward the betterment of the community in Wayne County to bring about unity in the community.  He volunteered as an associate chaplain at Wayne Memorial Hospital for 14.5 years .  He and served as a member of the hospital’s Ethics Committee and the Patient Family Advisory committee.  He feels that studying God’s Word is the key to spiritual growth and development.  He received his call to salvation at the Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church followed by the call to service at a turning point in his life which spanned 30 years in the US Army, with tours in Viet Nam, Granada, and Desert Storm, and has asked God to use him.  He is a husband and a father, but most importantly, a child of God, a servant of the only one worthy of being served, God Almighty.
